Tom is a 23 year old technology consultant and freelance web developer. Over the past 5 years, he has worked for and on behalf of a number of internationally recognised brands and represented Microsoft as one of their key Education Ambassadors. He now heads up the Managed Services Team at Cloudserve (a Microsoft Partner) and freelances for a number of startups and small businesses on their technology and digital strategies.

At 16, Tom decided to drop out of college and was recruited by Microsoft as a Partner Apprentice. Over the next 12 months he dived into learning the tools of the trade and refining his natural technical skill, this led to him being recognised as a Microsoft Apprentice of the Year at the Houses of Parliament in 2012. After completing his apprenticeship, Tom was offered a permanent role within Microsoft’s partner network and began consulting for a number of international clients.

In late 2015 Tom succumbed to his love of the sea and decided to relocate to the south coast and spend some time on more digital based projects, most notably with the American Red Cross, RNLI and recently with Samsung UK in their IOT and Companion Products division. Then in 2017 Tom was offered the opportunity to join Cloudserve and help develop it into a leading Microsoft partner within the managed services sector.

As part of his role as an Education Ambassador for Microsoft, Tom has spoken at a number of events, schools and colleges across the UK about the benefits and opportunities on offer around Apprenticeships, Internships and within the technology sector as a whole. You can find out more about these events and where to hear Tom speak on the events page.
